GST: Return dates and important deadlines

Deadlines for filing GST returns are approaching, below is the table that summarizes a few important return forms* and their deadlines. 

  For the Period of
  July Aug September Onwards
GSTR 1 Sep 1 -5 Sep 16-20 10th of next month
GSTR 2 Sep 6- 10 Sep 21-25 15th of next month
GSTR 3 Sep 11-15 Sep 26-30 20th of next month
GSTR 3B Till Aug 20 Till Sep 20 Not Required

GSTR 1 : Details of outward supplies of taxable goods and/or services effected

GSTR 2 : Details of inward supplies of taxable goods and/or services effected claiming input tax credit.

GSTR 3 : Monthly return on the basis of finalization of details of outward supplies and inward supplies along with the payment of amount of tax.

GSTR 3B : Provisional return for the months of July and August

*(there are other return forms, but table list the forms which is important for the current time period and majority of the dealers)
