E-Way bill has been implemented in two states, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
This is contrary to the GST provision for uniform e-way bills which is applicable over Pan India.

Already there were concerns by different bodies over the implementation of the uniform e-way bills, as it can slow down the supply chain. And on top of it, different states are coming up with different rules that will only add to the woes.

IFTRT, a body responsible for transporters in India, has termed this a regressive rule which will bring back inspector raj and corruption.

Even the CBEC(central board of Excise and Customs) are unhappy with the introduction of e-way bill by different states.

With already changing business scenarios in India and on top of it different states coming with different sets of rules; this is making it difficult for the business fraternity to run smoothly. With a different set of rules getting implemented, it is only increasing the ambiguity among the masses.

We sincerely hope that government takes steps that will allow us to adapt the new system seamlessly. And we collectively make India a better place to do business.
